Ezulwini Billy's Lodge is a grand structure accentuated with leadwood pillars and thatched ceilings. The lodge features a raised skywalk that leads to a private waterhole frequented by a plethora of wildlife. The wine cellar built into a natural rock cave and handcrafted display table adds to the unique merit of Billy's Lodge.

Guests have the option of staying in both luxury chalets and luxury suites, accommodating a total of 12 people. The main lodge is furnished with a unique indoor bar, boma area, and a luxurious leather-suited lounge area. Billy's Lodge, like River Lodge, has a swimming pool and serves delectable homemade meals under the stars.

Billy's Lodge has three luxury chalets; two of which are traditional rondavels, and one room that leads onto the pool area. Each room sleeps two people in twin or double beds with mosquito netting and bedside tables. There are three luxury suites, which are indulgently spacious with open-plan en-suite bathrooms, indoor bath, plus indoor and outdoor showers. Private decks have plunge pools, sun loungers and a view.

Accommodation Information

Ezulwini Billy's Lodge has both luxury chalets and luxury suites available. Each room sleeps two people in twin or double beds, equipped with mosquito nets and bedside tables. Ensuite bathrooms are dark-tiled with showers and large vanities.

The three luxury chalets are rondavel-shaped with thatched roofs, ceiling fans, and have ensuite bathrooms with showers. In-room tea and coffee facilities offer comfort and convenience, while hot days can be spent at the pool or the bar, neither of which is far away.

The three luxury suites are spectacularly built with generous spaciousness and decorated using natural wood and African-inspired artwork. Private plunge pools and decks with sun loungers keep things exclusive, while open-plan ensuite bathrooms have bathtubs, plus indoor and outdoor showers. Minibars, tea and coffee, and air-conditioning complete the luxurious look.

Where To Find Us

The Olifants West Nature Reserve is part of the Greater Kruger Park, located on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park in South Africa’s Limpopo Province.

Guests at Billy’s Lodge can access the lodge via self-drive or road transfer after flying to Eastgate airport in Hoedspruit. The drive from Eastgate airport to Billy’s Lodge is about 1 hour in duration along the well-travelled R40. Guests will enter the reserve through the Olifants West gate and drive a short distance through the reserve to the lodge.

Guests flying to Johannesburg OR Tambo airport can take a shuttle or self-drive option to cover the 6 hour car journey to the Olifants West Nature Reserve.

What makes this a superb location is its unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. Ezulwini guests head out on game drive in the reserve, visiting various waterholes and the Olifants River.
